              St. Jude Trike-A-Thon

            Our goal during Trike-A-Thon week is to learn about bicycle safety and the importance if helping children who are battling childhood illnesses.

            Our educational week began Today!!!

            Each day we will talk about a new safety rule/review previous rules.  Hear a short story about our friendly bear, and color a safety picture. 

We will also be talking about how our Trike-A-Thon is going to help other children.  Your child will bring home his/her coloring page each day. 

We encourage you to talk with your child about our safety lessons!!! 

            At the end of our preschool week (Wedensday ^nd ), we will hold our Trike-A-Thon.  This is a great opportunity to practice our safety rules

and raise money for St. Jude Children’s Hospital.  The Trike-A-Thon will be from 11:00am – 12:00 Pm out in the preschool parking lot.

Rather than having you get pledges per lap, Sunshine Preschool would like to have parents/children get flat rate pledges for the day

($1, $5, .50c etc no minimum pledge).

            The Trike-A-thon is an optional event and you do not have to participate.  If your child would like to participate, we will need a trike, bike or scooter

and a Helmet at school by 11:00 am on Wednesday ^nd.  If your child would like to bike but doesn’t have one, please talk to Kim or Tracy.

            All pledge money will go directly to St. Jude.  If you would like more information about St. Jude and their research, visit www.stjude.org/trike.

            We will post a sign up sheet in the hall for those willing to help on our Trike-A-Thon day.  All parents are invited to stay and watch the fun!! 

We will have sign –ups for snacks and juice too.
